Huge oil spill in of Dalian, China
Oil spill after pipeline blast in the port city of Dalian in July 2010. Involved some 250 ships and 8000 fishing boats, most of the work is done manually.
The size of the oil slick reached the 430 sq. km. km, but its spread was stopped before the oil got into international waters. The explosion occurred due to improper injection chemicals in the pipe.
