The only one in this year's total solar eclipse

Australians and their tourists have experienced a solar eclipse recently.

Earth satellite passed between our planet and the star, obscuring the Earth for almost two minutes. At this period the city Cairns plunged into total darkness. In order to observe the eclipse on a city beach crowded hundreds of people wearing sunglasses.

But the real "capital eclipse" failed to Cairns, and just north of a small town of Port Douglas, where the moon completely obscure the sun for 3 seconds longer. At the time of the eclipse in the vicinity of this town gathered around 20 thousand tourists. The population of Port Douglas is about 4500 people.

Aussie media emphasize about eclipses positive impact on the tourism sector in Queensland, where took place large-scale entertainment for the "post-eclipse." In particular, in the town of Port Douglas, professionals and amateurs are running a marathon, at Palmer River hold Electronic Music Festival etc.

So the next total eclipse on Earth will occur only in 2015.
