More facts about Google Glass

Although Google Glass wasn’t released to the end users yet, Google already released an early version of an SDK, as well as hardware specifications for its Glass augmented-reality monocular device. There are software developers and advanced end-users who already testing this gadget.

Those people paid the early adoption fee of $1,500 to wear, test, and develop software for the product.
So what is the revolutionary about Google Glass?

For example - almost every smartphone on the market today has a built-in high-definition camera with enough storage to record daily life for long hours. But at with these smartphones, video cameras, photo cameras etc., you know when they are being used. It's clear when someone is using a smartphone or a tablet to take photographs or record video.

But with Google Glass starts (possibly) a new culture where everyone around you is capable to record everything virtually all of the time. When the device is being worn and there's no indication of when it is being used, one has to assume that the wearer is recording everyone all of the time.

I believe that it will be developed and released some devices to protect peoples privacy. For example –
• in certain areas people will be not allowed to wear Google Glass;
• also people may have some gadgets which can alert that someone nearby you is currently recording;
• and some personal shield which can disrupts (or even destroy) the use of Glass within a certain distance. I am sure that some people can make profit by assembling and selling such devices.

Smile, you are being recorded!

Signs similar to this one will be very common in the nearest future.
