Larisa Latynina and Nadia Comaneci are one of the sport heroes of the 20s century. They dominated in the gymnastic world in 60s and 70s respectively.
is a Soviet gymnast. She performed in the period from 1956 till 1964.
She won 14 individual Olympic medals and four team medals. Her total of 18 Olympic medals was a record for 48 years. It was beaten only by American swimmer Michael Phelps on July 31, 2012.
Although Phelps broke her total medal count record, her record for individual event medals (14) still remains unbeaten.
